Temple Akiba Early Childhood Center (ECC) is a place where teachers, parents, children, and clergy join together to build a strong Jewish inspired community. We have created an environment where all children, from all cultures and religious backgrounds, are welcome to be themselves, excite their curiosity, explore the many languages of the world around them and have the freedom to choose their areas of their interest from a variety of thought provoking activities.
Our Approach
ECC's educational approach weaves together most recent child development theories, focusing especially on a play-based curriculum. Our main emphasis is to allow children to explore and develop their emotional, physical, cognitive, and social qualities through developmentally appropriate play and exploration.
Our focus
Starting from the age of 18 months and transitioning through the age of five, we focus on developing healthy habits, promote appropriate social skills, close friendship, communication and language skills, self expression, positive self esteem, physical growth (fine and gross motor skills) and respect of one another.

2-year-old class Born between September 2nd 2021 and September 1st, 2022
9:00 am - 1:00 pm $14,745/year
9:00 am - 5:30 pm (4:30 pm on Fridays) $17,010/year
3-year-olds and 4-year-olds Born between June 2nd 2020 and September 1st 2021
Transitional Kindergarten Born between September 2nd, 2019 and June 1st 2020

Early care is available from 8:00 am-9:00 am for an additional $1,750/year.
Temple Akiba membership is required for your child to enroll in the ECC, Temple Akiba offers a special Membership rate of $720 for our ECC families while enrolled in ECC. Additionally, there is an annual Building Fund Fee of $200 and a Security Fee of $680 due to the Temple. These rates are determined at the congregational yearly meeting held in May and are subject to change.
